12th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser 2011.

We're back for soup at Martha's Table Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser, Sunday, October 16th, 2011. This lovely fall event boasts soups from many famous Kingston kitchens, as well as desserts and coffee. You pick out your own handcrafted bowl (yours to keep) and the volunteers serve up your choice of soup in your very own bowl! While you dine, we amongst others, will entertain you and your friends and family. TRIOLA will play during the first 2 seatings....11:30 and 12:15. The cost is $30 and is held at the University Club, 168 Stuart Street, Kingston ON.

That's Mozart in the background, probably wondering why we're playing a piano piece of his with 2 violins and a viola and no piano in sight...well, there was a pianist in sight (Michel S. was having dinner with Bill B. and Sean B. just a few tables away.) The dinner was grand and people in attendance were very appreciative of the live music.

TRIOLA loves to play for Martha's Table Empty Bowls' Fundraiser every fall. The bowls are beautiful, the soups delicious and the diners are all soooo appreciative. We look forward to it every year and hope that those of you reading today who have never been to this event, take it in next October 2011. Martha's Table does wonderful work and deserves our support.

In TRIOLA's two player combo, DUETTA performed for shoppers perusing books at the annual Kingston Symphony Book Fair, hosted in the Frontenac Mall. The Kingston Symphony's volunteer committee raises substantial funds for its orchestra through this very popular book sale. If you haven't been yet, check it out. Last day is Saturday, October 2nd, 2010. But not to worry...if you don't make it this year, there's always Fall of 2011. (Eileen and Gisèle seen here with Jean Wilson, a dedicated volunteer of many years with the KSA.)

Join Duetta at the Kingston Olympic Harbour on Saturday, March 6th at 1:00 p.m. for an hour of springtime music - Vivaldi - Spring? Tiptoe through the Tulips? April in Paris? Who knows....

Proceeds derived from the Kingston Gardening Expo will benefit University the Hospitals Kingston Foundation, the Limestone Learning Foundation and Canadian Tire Jumpstart.

It promises to be a wonderful headstart to some warmer weather!

On Saturday October 24th, 2009, the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation held its annual Black Tie Event. Funds raised were in support of the Intensive Care Unit at KGH. Come join Triola on a fashion journey with Expressions Fashion Boutique to help raise funds for the Kingston Symphony Orchestra. The Kingston Symphony Association's Volunteer Committee is hosting their annual Fashion Show again this October, Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th at

the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club. Doors open at 11:30 a.m, with the show starting at 12 p.m. We'll warm up the crowd with music from 11:45 - 12:15 on Sept. 24th. For more information please contact Lorraine Coull at 613-544-2930.

TRIOLA will play again for the annual Empty Bowls' fundraiser on Sunday October 18th, from 1:00 - 2:00pm., at the University Club, Queen's University. This event benefits Martha's Table and features bowls donated by local potters and magnificent soups made by staff and volunteers of Martha's Table. There are three seatings; 11:30am, 12:15pm and 1pm. Breads, desserts and coffee/tea are also offered. Music is played at all seatings, and in various rooms.The cost is $25 and you get to take home your chosen bowl. It's a casual family event, perfect for a fall outing. Calvin Park Library Grand Opening

TRIOLA played for the opening ceremony of the brand new Calvin Park Library on September 25th. Lots of children were in attendance alongside our mayor Harvey Rosen, M.P.P. John Gerretsen and the Hon. Peter Milliken to name but a few. Everyone feasted on yummy cake and it seemed as though books were flying off the shelves! The library is beautiful and inviting, full of light and comfy chairs. Do go and visit - you won't be disappointed!

TRIOLA celebrates Canada Day!

Celebrations include TRIOLA entertaining guests from 1-2pm followed by an official welcome with pipes. Cake and refreshments, painting, dressing up for kids, garden tours and planting for kids, a laundry station, music, and of course, tours of the house. Open from 10- 6pm, admission is FREE for the day!

Performance of Oliver Schroer's "Horseshoes and Rainbows." This is from an event that high school student Sophie Szczesniak organized to raise funds for the Kingston Interval House. All the hard work paid off - the evening was a tremendous success!
Great entertainment from a variety of performers, incredible artwork and of course, tons of yummy strawberries! Hats off to Sophie!
